Homemade classic chicken pot pie

2 pie crusts, store bought or homemade.

One bag of frozen veggies or fresh

4 cups cooked chicken

6 tablespoons of butter

1 medium yellow onion chopped 

3 cloves garlic

1/3 cup of flour

2 cups chicken stock

1/2 to a cup of heavy cream


1 egg beaten for egg wash 


In a pot on the stove melt your butter, onion and frozen or fresh veggies sauté. Add your garlic and flour and stir constantly,add your cream and chicken stock and continue to stir. The sauce should become a gravy consistency at this point. Add your salt and pepper to taste. Pour your filling in the pie crust and then layer with the other crust on top. Cut some holes and brush with egg wash. Cook at 350 degrees till crust is golden brown and done. Let cool and enjoy!
